Calculation program "Calculus" from Paroc
PAROC Calculus is a calculation program for technical insulation for dimensioning of thermal insulation for various HVAC and process industry applications, e.g. pipes, ventilation ducts and process industry tanks. You can also calculate the heat loss for insulated and uninsulated valves and flanges, which usually increases the risk of heat loss. Heat losses caused by cold bridges in pipe and duct suspensions can also be taken into account.
The program is free and can be used on both computer, tablet and mobile. By creating your own user account, which is also completely free, you get access to online storage of your projects, calculations and customizations.
Automatic updates
When changes are made to Paroc's products, this will be automatically updated in the calculation program Calculus. You also have the opportunity to create your own user via a login. In this case, you can create your calculations in the program and retrieve them at a later time. At the same time, it is possible to make your own products, based on your own designs.
Calculations you can do are for:
- ventilation system
- tanks (circular and rectangular)
- flat surface
You can also take the suspension into account and calculate how long it will take before the pipe freezes. Another thing that is new is that you can calculate how much heating cable you need to prevent the pipe from freezing.
Calculus also takes into account cladding, such as cladding, where it calculates the surface temperature with cladding.
